This is the Paideias research blog. We write for qualitative researchers, doctoral students, and the UX/PX/CR folks who occasionally need to make sense of interviews. Our goal is simple: make the craft easier to learn, the tools easier to choose, and the work easier to do.

Who writes it
The Paideias team — researchers, engineers, and a few people who've spent more hours than they'd like to admit cleaning transcripts. We also accept guest posts from working researchers; pitch us at hello@paideias.org.
Why we built it
Most of the qualitative research tooling out there is stuck in the early 2000s. The flagship app, NVivo, is powerful but costs $1,400+ a year, requires a desktop install, and doesn't have a real-time collaboration mode. We built Paideias as a modern alternative — AI-assisted codebooks, browser-based, and priced for working researchers. This blog is the front door.
